This Akaza body painting was realized for FAN EXPO Vancouver 2026. The transformation was designed to bring the character from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba into real life using anatomy-based placement, symmetry, and layered color work.
Akaza’s markings look simple at first glance, but recreating them on a moving body requires careful mapping to maintain balance and accuracy from every angle.
For this project, I focused on:
- clean symmetrical linework
- placement that follows natural muscle structure
- layered blue tones for depth
Full body painting adds a level of immersion that costume pieces alone can’t always achieve.
